La serie de televisión Sexo en Nueva York fue un rotundo éxito de audiencia. Para olvidar podríamos dejar las dos películas para el cine. Sus protagonistas ya quedaron un poco mayores para reeditar sus correrías por Manhattan, así que los productores han decidido llevar adelante una precuela titulada Los Diarios de Carrie, basada en una obra de la misma autora (por aquello de continuar exprimiendo el filón). La joven actriz AnnaSophia Robb es la elegida para encabezar el elenco de la citada precuela.
La nueva serie se basará en el libro de Candace Bushnell The Carrie Diaries, que relata las aventuras de Carrie Bradshaw antes de convertirse en la periodista del New Yorker que todos conocemos, por lo que se sitúa en plenos años ochenta. Olvidémonos, por tanto, de volver a ver al cuarteto de amigas, ya que -de ellas- Samantha era la única que Carrie conocía.
